Coyotes
Salutations!! Sally here at The Secret Bed and Breakfast! Coyotes. We have been hearing them a lot lately. It is usually early in the morning when we are going out for our morning walk. They are down off the bluff but we saw some poop when we went to walk on one of the vacant roads below the Secret. Kris says that they are related to dogs but that we should avoid meeting these relatives! They are about the size of BB according to her and can run as fast as 40 mph!! I can’t run that fast so I am not going to get anywhere near them!! They mostly prey on deer, rabbits, and small mammals but they will also eat fruits, grass and insects. Kris says that they will also go after small dogs and even cats!!!!! All the animals here at The Secret are put up at night because that is when they primarily hunt! So if you live in an area where you are hearing coyotes you might want to make sure that your fur babies are put up and don’t let them go out alone at night!!!!
