Free the Tile!!
The tile throughout the main floor of the lodge was imported from Italy. Because the house was built on bedrock there is not a crack in the tiles. Several of the rooms that make up the owners quarters are carpeted but we had pulled up corners and could see that below the carpet was this same tile. One of our projects when we purchased the Secret was to pull up all the carpet. I HATE carpet anyway and knowing that below it was this beautiful tile made me want to get rid of it. It’s taken over eleven years, but we finally found the time to at least start this project. Most of the tile underneath is only going to need a light cleaning, but there are areas that need more attention. Any suggestions as to the easiest way to get it clean would be most appreciated!!!
